Will Kate Middleton join The King, Prince William in France next month?

King Charles and Prince William are set to embark on overseas trip next month

King Charles and Queen Camilla recently announced their first overseas trip of the year following a string of bad news from the royal family.

The British monarchs will travel to France next month to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, as per a latest announcement from Buckingham Palace.

To make it even better, it has now been reported that heir to the throne and the King’s eldest son Prince William will also join the royal pair at the event.

Kate Middleton is not expected to travel with her husband, owing to her ongoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.

The Princess of Wales will remain in Windsor with their three kids, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, and presumably her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

For the unversed, D-Day refers to the Allied invasion of Normandy in Operation Overlord during World War II. It is celebrated to acknowledge the day for creating a path to victory for the Allies.

Charles and Camilla will join the Ministry of Defence and Royal British Legion’s commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer on 6 June.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales will attend Canadian ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre in Courseulles-sur-Mer.

He will also attend the international commemorative ceremony at Omaha Beach, Saint Laurent sur Mer, alongside 25 heads of state and veterans from around the world.
