Harlan Coben recently revealed why he’s adamant to keep his character Myron Bolitar away from Netflix shows and TV.

Coben, who has written about thirty-five novels till date, revealed why his most enduring character has never been portrayed on TV.

Speaking to The Times of London in a candid interview, the Fool Me Once alum said that he doesn’t want to spoil the specific picture in mind, worrying any actor might mess it up.

Coben, who is also one of the world’s most successful crime writers, commented on Stanley Tucci when asked to rate him as a potential candidate.

In response to being offered a suggestion of Tucci, he said: “Yeah, big fan, but he’s a little smaller.”

Meanwhile, the author revealed that his character, Bolitar is a “faster, stronger, funny” version of himself.

For the unversed, the author is gearing up for his new book Think Twice.

Opening up about expanding on a specific genre ahead of the release, the author said that crime has its own evolution process and changes like everything else.

While conversing with a newspaper, Coben said: “It’s impossible to get away with. There are a million CCTV cameras, so my challenge is, ‘How do I find a new way of doing it?'”
