Jenna Ortega is set to reprise her role as Tara carpenter in ‘Scream 7’
Jenna Ortega has garnered a massive following after her remarkable performance in Netflix series Wednesday.
Ortega, 21, breathed a new life into the character of Wednesday Addams, leaving an indelible impression on the audience.
Before the young icon became a household name in the industry, she faced her fair share of struggles and roadblocks on her journey.
In her autobiographical work, It’s All Love, the viral sensation shared how she felt after losing a role in a family adventure comedy movie.
Despite the “chemistry seemed to be there” and a strong connection with the main leads she didn’t get the role and wrote, “Despite everything, in the end, it didn’t happen. How I cried when I heard the news!”
This was not the only disappointment. Later on, she lost another role in a blockbuster and when she heard the news she thought, “there you go, another door slammed in my face.”
The actress, who began as a child star, gave herself sometime and waited for the “right time” to “play more adult and serious roles when I was ready.”
Prior to delivering her exceptional performance in Wednesday, Jenna was a horror icon as she starred in the Scream franchise appearing in Scream V, Scream VI.
She’s set to reprise her role as Tara carpenter in Scream 7, but that’s not all for the talented actress as she has other projects in the pipeline.
Jenna Ortega is set to play Lydia’s daughter in Warner Bros’ sequel to Beetlejuice.
The film is expected to be released in 2024, but the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes could have an impact on the release date.
