The White Lotus Announces Season 3 Cast, Including Stars from Harry Potter and Mission: Impossible

This year, series creator Mike White will take fans to another White Lotus property in Thailand. Production is slated to begin in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok in February in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand.

“We are pleased to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to execute Mike’s creative vision and showcase all that the beautiful country of Thailand has to offer, as the next group of guests check in to the White Lotus,” HBO & Max’s EVP of Production Janet Graham Borba wrote in a press release.

Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Thapanee Kiatphaibool also expressed excitement in a statement.

“We are honored to have Amazing Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of ‘The White Lotus,'” wrote the board’s governor. “The kingdom’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture, fantastic cuisine, top-notch wellness and luxury offerings, and most importantly our people and Thai hospitality.”

Kiatphaibool added, “Thailand has long been considered one of the world’s favorite filming locations. ‘The White Lotus’ project will certainly strengthen the kingdom’s status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to Amazing Thailand.”

Each season of the Emmy-winning show has seen a (mostly) new crop of guests check into an entirely different White Lotus resort, with the debut season set in Hawaii and the sophomore season taking place in Sicily.

News of the dramedy’s renewal for a third season came three episodes into season 2, which premiered on Oct. 30, 2022, and fans have been eagerly waiting to learn who would play the latest group of travelers since the season 2 finale that December.
