Kicking off that night was coach Reba McEntire, who took the stage to sing “Consider Me Gone”. The track was from her album “Keep on Loving You”, which hit its 15th anniversary.
Host Carson Daly later brought the Top 8 to the stage. He revealed the first artist who was safe, and it was Sofronio Vasquez from Team Michael Buble.
Before more results were announced, coach Gwen Stefani performed her new single “Somebody Else’s”. It was later revealed that Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace would join Sofronio in the finale. Meanwhile, Team Snoop Dogg’s Jeremy Beloate was named as the third finalist.
The next performance was from Snoop’s Death Row Records collaborator October London, who hit the stage to sing his song “3rd Shift”. The remaining five artists later took the stage with Adam Bohanan saying that being coached by Reba was a “true blessing.” Jan Dan, meanwhile, said he would tell his baby daughter to always believe in herself. Carson later revealed that the next artist saved by America’s vote was Team Michael’s Shye.
Now that four singers had been sent to the Finals, there’s only one spot left and the remaining four singers had to perform for the Instant Save. Christina Eagle from Team Snoop chose to sing “Heart Like a Truck” by Lainey Wilson. Adam picked “Pretty Wings” by Maxwell.
Jan, meanwhile, hit the stage to sing John Mayer’s “Gravity”. Following it up, Danny belted out “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals for his last attempt to go to the Finals.
After they finished their performances, it was time for Carson to reveal the last finalist. The host announced that the singer earned the final spot in the Finals, thanks to the highest Instant Vote numbers, was Team Reba’s Danny Joseph.
