The King harsh move ‘underscores’ rift with Meghan Markle and Husband

King Charles’ harsh move ‘underscores’ rift with Prince Harry, Meghan

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle were ‘excluded’ from major royal event

As the preparations for the Trooping the Colour are in full swing, it seems Prince Harry and Meghan Markle aren’t even spared a second thought by King Charles.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly snubbed by the royal family as they “excluded” from the guest list for the annual event despite the low attendance from the senior working royals, according to publicist Michael Levine.

Kate Middleton, who is undergoing her preventative chemotherapy for cancer, will not attending the ceremony and would not even appear at the balcony for a small wave.

Levine told The Mirror that the “continued exclusion of Meghan and Harry from Trooping the Colour is a poignant reflection of their ongoing estrangement from the core of the British monarchy.”

In May, King Charles refused a meeting with his younger son given his “busy schedule” despite being a stone’s throw away from each other.

Moreover, a title meant for the Duke of Sussex was also granted to Prince William, a telling sign from the King to Harry, as their strained tied reflected through.

Harry and Meghan’s “absence for the second year running underscores the deep rifts that persist despite the pageantry and tradition that define the Royal Family,” Levine explained of the scenario.

“It’s a stark reminder that personal conflicts can ripple through the public spectacle even in the most revered institutions.”
