King Charles depressed over Meghan Markle's stubborn attitude, sees feud pointless

King Charles is ‘deeply distressed’ due to the ongoing feud that he sees as ‘pointless’

Meghan Markle is “determined” to have “absolutely nothing to do” with the Royal Family, according to a royal expert.

The Duchess of Sussex did not accompany her husband, Prince Harry, on his recent visit to London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. It has been reported that she plans to stay away from the UK “for the foreseeable future.”

Since stepping down as senior royals four years ago, Harry and Meghan have only returned to England for the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022 and her funeral three months later.

And according to royal author Tom Quinn, Meghan is “determined to cling” to her decision to stay away from England for the time being. This, according to the expert, has left King Charles “deeply distressed” as he believes the ongoing feud with the Sussexes is “pointless”.

Mr Quinn told The Mirror: “Meghan wants absolutely nothing to do with the Royal Family. Her recent statement that she will never visit England again is still something she is determined to cling to. Camilla, who always has Charles’ mental and physical health in the forefront of her mind knows her husband is deeply distressed by a family feud that he sees as pointless.

“King Charles has made his peace with his own past and he feels that bearing a grudge for such a long time is mainly evidence that Harry is also being led astray by others.”

Meanwhile, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex might travel to the UK together to allow Charles to see his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, even if at the moment there is no timeline for a potential meeting.

Mr Fitzwilliams told the Express: “She will stay away for the foreseeable future. With the royal rift as deep as it clearly is she was wise not to stray beyond Heathrow en route to Nigeria, after Harry went to the St Paul’s commemorative service for Invictus.”

But he added: “She might of course, bring Archie and Lili to see their grandfather, King Charles, but the circumstances where that might be a possibility currently clearly do not apply. However if she were to, her reception would obviously be more muted.”
