Many Fans Of The Green Bay Packers Are Fed Up With The Media’s Coverage Of The Grammy Winner’s Support For Her Boyfriend At His Latest Game At Lambeau Field.
Taylor Swift‘s appearance at Travis Kelce‘s latest game didn’t impress his rival’s fans. The pop superstar traveled all the way to Wisconsin to attend the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, December 3 in support of her boyfriend, only to receive a pushback from some social media users.
The Grammy winner, who sat in the VIP area at Lambeau Field with Brittany Mahomes, was put under the spotlight during NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” broadcast. As “SNF” posted a clip of the moment on its X, formerly Twitter, page, many Packers fans could not help but express their disdain for media’s coverage of Taylor’s appearance in the replies.
“Hate Swift and the Chiefs so I’m a Packers fan tonight,” one person commented on the footage. Another joked about snow blurring their vision of the “Anti-Hero” songstress, “Thank God the snow is hiding her. Maybe now they won’t incessantly remind us she is there.”
“Please don’t make us have to see this all night,” a third pleaded, while a fourth person claimed, “Literally nobody cares. Keep football football. Not the Taylor Swift show. sooooooo annoying.
Another was upset that “SNF” snubbed a Packers WAG, Simone Biles,who is married to Jonathan Owens, while highlighting Taylor. “We in Green Bay have a celebrity. You may have heard of her. Olympic Gold medalist Simone Biles. Why don’t you highlight her? Hmmm….,” the said person questioned.
Meanwhile, some Swifties have come to the star’s defense. One of them clapped back at the negative comments, “The hating on Taylor Swift on this page is unreal, they are going to show the game my gosh, some of you act like they just going to show her nonstop. She has a right to support her boyfriend and the team he is playing for just like other players loved ones.”
Another wrote, “Thank you @SNFonNBC for recognizing that Americans love a love story, and that Swiftie fans are enjoying becoming new fans of NFL football with @taylorswift13 ! FYI the NFL is better off WITHOUT haters as fans- sad and negative people, ugghhh.”
Taylor was seen arriving at Lambeau Field with Brittany and another female friend. She bundled up in a vibrant red teddy bear coat over a black turtleneck top and pleated skirt. She completed her look with onve-the-knee boots, a gold chain link necklace, low bun and her signature red clip.
Once they arrived at the stadium, the 33-year-old singer/songwriter briefly separated from her friends as she was seen being escorted to another area before they reunited in the box.
Taylor and Travis have been hanging out with Patrick Mahomes and Brittany during the singer’s stay in Kansas City. On Friday, the lovebirds were spotted at holiday pop-up bar Miracle where the Chiefs were holding a party. In a photo circulating online, the “Lavender Haze” songstress was seen chatting to Brittany at the team’s gathering.
