Taylor Swift recently revealed that the pop star shares an emotional connection to a Scottish band’s song that gets her all ‘choked up.’

Referring to the song, the Antihero hitmaker claimed that every time she listens to the 1989 Downtown Lights, her heart wells up.

The lyrics went viral ahead of the track’s release, in which Swift could be heart belting out: “Drowning in the Blue Nile, He sent me Downtown Lights, I hadn’t heard it in a while, My boredom’s bone deep, This cage was once just fine, Am I allowed to cry?”

For the unversed, Blue Nile are considered as the greatest Scots band of all times, with Downtown Lights featured on their 1989 hats.

The group initially consisted of members; Paul Buchanan, Robert Bell and Paul Joseph Moore, who were active during the years 1981-2004.

On the professional front, the band released a single ahead of their debut album A Walk Across The Rooftops in 1984 on the Linn label
