Selena Gomez Says She ‘Had So Much Fun’ at Sabrina Carpenter’s Concert: ‘I Lived My Live — Properly’

Selena Gomez is living her best life.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the N.Y.C. premiere of her new film, Emilia Pérez, the star said that she had the best time attending Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet tour.

“Oh I had so much fun,” Gomez, 32, said in reference to the concert.

She added, “I am a huge Sabrina fan so I lived my life — properly.”

Gomez attended the show at Madison Square Garden with some friends on Sunday, Sept. 29. While she was there, the “Calm Down” singer shared a clip of herself dancing to “Juno” on Instagram and she tagged boyfriend Benny Blanco in the caption.

Then, Blanco, 36, offered up a flirty response in the comments section, referencing her 2015 hit “Hands to Myself.”

The record producer wrote, “Can’t keep my hands to myself.”

Her new film, Emilia Pérez, is a Spanish-language movie-musical written and directed by French filmmaker Jacques Audiard.

“Through liberating song and dance and bold visuals, this odyssey follows the journey of four remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness,” the synopsis of the film reads.

“The fearsome cartel leader Emilia enlists Rita (Saldaña), an unappreciated lawyer stuck in a dead-end job, to help fake her death so that Emilia can finally live authentically as her true self.”

At the film’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 9, Gomez spoke with PEOPLE about her character Jessi Del Monte, the wife of drug cartel leader Emilia Pérez (Gascón), who tries to fake her death “so that Emilia can finally live authentically as her true self,” as a synopsis puts it.

“It was actually really interesting because I ultimately ended up getting to develop a character who is very similar to myself,” she said.

“And actually, I believe a lot of Latinx communities in America. I think it’s also everywhere. But I, I’m just really, I’m really glad that we were able to make her Latin American because that’s who I am,” she added.

Emilia Pérez is in theaters on Nov. 1 and out on Netflix on Nov. 13.
