In Young and Hotter Than Me, a melancholic piano ballad, the pop star laments over an ex she wishes she “never loved.”. Meanwhile, Ojos Tristes revisits a familiar theme, as she sings about reuniting with a past flame “one last time” before moving on — this time, with her fiancé Benny Blanco.
In a behind-the-scenes clip from the Younger and Hotter Than Me music video, Gomez reflected on the song’s meaning, revealing that it captures feelings of alienation despite her global fame.
