Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s presence at the upcoming royal event would cause tension for King Charles
Queen Camilla’s fears mount as cancer-stricken King Charles considers inviting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Balmoral to settle down the growing rift with the Sussexes.
Royal author Tom Quinn claimed that the Monarch, who often spends summers in Scotland with key royal figures, might invite the former working royal couple.
In conversation with The Mirror, the royal commentator said that the King “will issue the traditional invitation to Harry and Meghan to spend part of the summer at Balmoral, but safe in the knowledge that Harry and Meghan will make their excuses and decline.”
However, Tom believes that the Queen thinks the decision to invite Harry and Meghan to the royal event would cause tension for Charles amid his cancer treatment.
“Relaxing at the 50,000-acre private estate might be just the place to let bygones be bygones, but Camilla will be dreading anything that threatens the calm her husband needs to continue his recovery from cancer,” said the royal expert.
Tom also shared that Harry is expected to decline his father’s invitation due to his estranged brother Prince William’s presence at the royal festival.
He added, “The Harry would love to see Kate and his expressions of concern for her are deeply felt but he knows that he can’t see Kate without seeing his brother so it’s not going to happen.”
