Princess Eugenie fears Kate Middleton’s fate as royal promotion in talks

Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice have been repeatedly urged to step up royal duties

Princess Eugenie is reportedly reluctant to step up royal duties in a bid to help royal family during health crisis.

Speaking to Fruity Slots, former royal butler Grant Harrold suggested the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson is not willing to give her whole life away for the bigger cause.

He said: “Princess Eugenie is probably cautious to step up to Royal duties because it does take up your whole life. I’ve seen the schedules and you can’t switch it on and off.

“Eugenie is very keen to have her own career and that’s something she is very passionate about – so yes, she probably is reluctant to take on Royal duties,” the former butler to late Princess Diana explained.

As a non-working royal, Princess Eugenie is affiliated with a slew of charities, including Children in Crisis and Anti-Slavery International.

She also works as the director of a London art gallery called Hauser & Wirth in London.

Moreover, she is also big on prioritizing her personal life with husband Jack Brooksbank and their two sons, August and Ernest.

However, Harrold assured: “She’s currently a non-working Royal but as times become more desperate, it’s very likely we will see her move from that to become a working senior member of the family.

“Eugenie is very competent, so I’ve no doubt that if she does step up, she will do so very successfully,” he added.
