Rose Hanbury’s lawyers come forward with clarity statement amid Prince William affair rumours
Prince William’s rumoured mistress, Rose Hanbury has denied all affair allegations.
Hanbury debunked any claims saying she had an affair with Prince William.
The ex British model, 40, real name Sarah Rose Hanbury, recently scrapped all rumours about any kind of relationship with the next-in-line-to-the-British-throne royal, in a statement her lawyers conveyed to Business Insider.
“The rumors are completely false,” Hanbury’s lawyers told the outlet.
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace is continuously avoiding to comment on the matter about an alleged affair between William, 41, and the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.
In recent weeks, Hanbury’s name has been tossed about on social media, as well as by well-known celebrities and media outlets sparking rumours of an illicit affair from the late 2010s.
The rumours seem to ignite after Stephen Colbert name-dropped the model in his opening monologue last week.
While discussing Kate’s sudden disappearance after the holidays, Colbert highlighted the affair.
“The kingdom has been all aflutter by the seeming disappearance of Kate Middleton. Well now, internet sleuths are guessing that Kate’s absence may be related to her husband and the future king of England, William, having an affair,” the late-night comedian said on the March 12 episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
“I think we all know who the alleged other woman is, say it with me, The Marchioness of Cholmondeley,” Colbert continued.
“Now there have been rumors of an affair between William and [Hanbury] since 2019. According to tabloids, back then, when Kate supposedly confronted him about it, he ‘laughed it off, saying there was nothing to it.’ Aha, always a good response when your wife accuses you of cheating.”
