Prince Harry, Meghan to host royal family member at Christmas in US

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle extends invite to special family member after Sandringham snub

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are keen on maintaining friendly ties with a special member of the royal family despite being snubbed by King Charles.

Previously, the Duchess of Sussex revealed her Christmas plans in an interview admitting that there are special traditions for Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

While the Sussex festive holidays are usually “low-key” but this time the couple has extended an invite to Prince Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and her family to join them for the festivities, according to a well-placed source.

However, Eugenie, who divides her time between UK and Portugal, also has an invite to the annual royal Christmas at Sandringham leaving her in a predicament.

“Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays,” the insider told Express.co.uk. “It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”

The insider note that Harry and Meghan are hoping that their two children can build relationships with their cousins.

“It would be so nice for the children to spend time with their cousins,” said the source. “The diary is very tight over the holidays but there might be a slot free around New Years’ time for everyone to come together at some point.”

It’s unclear whether Eugenie would accept an invitation to spend Christmas in Montecito, especially as many of her family members are UK-based. Moreover, Eugenie and her family was also absent from Kate Middleton’s Christmas Carol service last week.
