The actress mentioned the “biggest” misunderstanding about her is that she “has been married six times instead of four”
Pamela Anderson revealed the truth behind her 12-day marriage to producer Jon Peters.
The 57-year-old actress made a recent appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast and set the record straight related to her brief relationship with Peters.
During the conversation, she was inquired about the “biggest misconception” about her.
“I never was married to Jon Peters,” Anderson noted about her highly publicized marriage with the 79-year-old hairdresser-turned-film producer back in 2020.
“I had just come home from France and my son called me. He goes, ‘You’re not going to believe it. Jon Peters called me. He offered me $20 million if I could get you to marry him,” she continued.
“And he was laughing hysterically. Obviously, we don’t take Jon seriously. Jon is a movie-maker. He is a wonderful person. He’s very funny.”
Anderson met Jon Peters in the 1980s at a Playboy Mansion party, during the early days of her entertainment career in Los Angeles. “I knew him at the very beginning. And he’s kind of popped up here and there. So we said, ‘Well, let’s just have lunch with him,’ ”
Explaining that he made the $20 million offer to her son, she only decided to have lunch with Peters.
“We had lunch and then he had a bunch of flowers there and he had everybody, all the family was there — I’ve known his daughters — and it was just a funny moment,” Anderson confessed. “But I never married Jon. It was never a marriage, but we were just laughing about that. That’s all that happened. But still people think that I was married to him. So it’s kind of on my list on Wikipedia.”
