The Brockman Family last appeared for a Christmas special in 2016
Outnumbered is set to make a festive comeback this Christmas season with a special episode, 10 years after the family drama originally wrapped up.
On Thursday, May 23, BBC confirmed that the beloved sitcom will return with its original cast, featuring Claire Skinner and Hugh Dennis, along with the former child actors who starred in the show.
Can’t wait for the Brockmans to be back together again,” Dennis exclaimed.
In addition to the original cast, creators Guy Jenkin and Andy Hamilton will return to write and direct the special.
Tyger Drew-Honey, Daniel Roche, and Ramona Marquez will reprise their roles as the couple’s fully-grown children.
The upcoming episode will take place in the downsized home of Sue and Pete Brockman, as they navigate the challenges of parenting now-grown children.
Moreover, the couple will gather all their children and one grandchild for a traditional family Christmas.
Hamilton noted that the series would portray the Brockman family as “older, but not necessarily wiser.”
Additionally, the Brockman family last appeared on screens in 2016, reuniting two years after the series ended for a Christmas special.
