The “certified Swiftie” discussed her memorable run-in with the NFL star while appearing on Flau’jae Johnson’s podcast
Olivia “Livvy” Dunne has nothing but kind words about Travis Kelce!
While discussing sports power couples with fellow Louisiana State University athlete Flau’jae Johnson on her Best of Both Worlds with Flau’jae podcast on Thursday, Sept. 19, the gymnast raved about the Kansas City Chiefs star.
After selecting Kelce and his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, both 34, over another power couple — Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens — Dunne, 21, explained it’s not only because she’s a fan of Swift, but also because of a memorable interaction she had with the NFL tight end.
“I’m a certified Swiftie,” the LSU gymnast told Johnson, 20. “And also Travis Kelce’s super nice … he’s the man, like he’s a good guy.”
After Johnson agreed, reminiscing on meeting the tight end at a party, Dunne recalled her own interaction with the Chiefs star — during which he offered to hook the gymnast and her MLB player boyfriend, Paul Skenes, up with tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour.
“He was so chill,” Dunne said. “He was at one of the photo shoots I was at this summer and he was like, ‘Well, if you or Paul ever need tickets to a Taylor concert or need a hookup, just let me know.’ I was like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ ”
And her commitment to both Swift and Kelce remained strong as she continued choosing the couple over other duos, at one point citing the “personal bond” she had with Kelce.
In fact, the only couple she chose over the two was herself and Skenes, 22, a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Skenes and Dunne first sparked romance rumors when the latter was seen wearing his jersey at the College World Series in June 2023, including in a TikTok she shared on her own account.
In August 2023, the then-MLB prospect confirmed their relationship during an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The pitcher revealed to the Pittsburgh outlet that they met when his roommate and best friend at LSU was dating Dunne’s roommate, calling their meet-cute “a small-world type of thing.”
The couple made their relationship red carpet official this summer when Dunne supported Skenes at the MLB’s 94th All-Star Game in Texas in July.
The LSU gymnast documented the outing on Instagram afterward, sharing photos of the couple and, in the caption, a sweet pun: “Paul-Star game highlights⭐️🤠.
