Michelle Williams to voice Britney Spears memoir ‘The Woman In Me’

Many excerpts from Britney Spears’ memoir made controversial headlines prior to the official release

Michelle Williams stepped in to save the day as Britney Spears will not narrate the audio version of her highly anticipated memoir.

While Spears, 41, who will read the introduction of The Women In Me, has chosen not to “relive” her experiences and after her “small part”, Michelle, 43, will take over the podium.

In a statement shared with People, the pop icon began, “This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it.”

She pointed out that “reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook.”

The Toxic crooner concluded,“I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”

Michelle, widely known for her role in Brokeback Mountain, extended her support for Spears, stating, “I stand with Britney.”

After a bidding war among multiple publishing houses, the rights of the memoir finally landed to Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Both the audio version and print version of the much anticipated memoir will be released on October 24.

Spears first confirmed in April 2022 that she was writing a memoir penning down her experiences during the conservatorship with her father.
