Prince Harry finds connection to royals despite uprooting from UK

Prince Harry, who is set to release his new documentary focused on the sport of polo, may be awaiting some bad news.

The Duke of Sussex, who is majorly popular among the progressive crowd which falls in the non-elitist category, may end up losing some followers as he goes behind the scenes of an elite sport, per chief royal correspondent for Newsweek, Jack Royston.

“It’s interesting because it’s a step back towards royal life for him,” Royston said. “Polo is a big part of the Royal Family’s way of doing things. They all play polo.”

The expert explained that the exclusive equestrian sport could stir his fanbase as it shows that Harry is unable to distance himself from royal traditions, despite stepping down from his royal duties in 2020.

“Polo is a very elite sport, so it could create a little bit of tension within the fanbase,” he added.

While Harry is working on the sports docuseries, his wife, Meghan Markle is working on her cooking show which aligns with her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Royston noted that this is “quite different to the direction they took themselves in when they first came to America, which was all about appealing to young progressives who are quite anti-rich and anti-elite.”

The move comes as Prince Harry officially lists his US residence as primary home in official documents for his business.
