Meghan Markle underwent a subtle transformation for loved-up Canada trip with Husband

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle jetted off for a three-day trip to Canada as part of the Invictus Games One Year To Go celebrations, with the Duchess debuting a brand new look

Meghan Markle decided to change up her look as she headed off for a three-day trip to Canada with Prince Harry.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a private jet from Montecito to Vancouver last week to mark the One Year To Go celebrations for the 2025 Invictus Games. While there, the couple participated in a number of fun sporting activities and even enjoyed a double date with Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato.

Plenty of pictures were taken of Meghan and Harry during their trip, but it seems fans failed to notice Meghan’s subtle transformation. The former actress decided to freshen up her look before the trip and changed her hair colour to chocolate chestnut brunette

Meghan’s hair transformation was done by her colourist Kadi Lee of Highbrow Hippie Atelier in Los Angeles. She took to Instagram to explain to fans how Meghan achieved her new shade.

“This mixture of red and golden undertones makes a dynamic shade of brunette that not only gives skin the healthiest glow, especially during the colder months of winter, it also provides the hair with a next level high power shine,” she said alongside a picture of Meghan from the trip. Kadi also said Meghan went for a “long lasting blowout” to achieve her wavy hairstyle.

Fans were loving the new look and took to the comments to share their thoughts. “This color matched perfectly with the Duchess of Sussex Meghan, it brought luminosity to her beautiful face,” one person wrote.

Another fan said: “When I saw this color, I immediately thought of you. This is the best her hair has ever looked!!” while a third gushed: “The color radiantly compliments her eyes and skin beautifully.” Someone else added: “You did a beautiful job! She is absolutely stunning.”

Meghan and Harry have since returned home to California, but they admitted they can’t wait to be back in Canada for next year’s Invictus Games. “We loved being back in Canada, a place so meaningful to both of us. It was an honour to be welcomed by the Four Host First Nations, as we marked One Year To Go, together with Invictus coaches, competitors and families,” the couple told People magazine.

They said their recent trip “filled their hearts” before gushing about how much they loved being “surrounded by Canadian people, food and culture”. They added that they “felt the Invictus spirit and excitement throughout” before revealing their excitement to return.
