Meghan Markle appears to be dealing with setback after setback as she struggles to keep up with the agendas set for this year’s calendar.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is preparing for launching her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, is now getting a cold shoulder from her Hollywood pal, who was her key to making A-list connections, according to an insider.
Close pals of Prince Harry and Meghan reveal to Closer magazine that the Duchess feels “humiliated” after Kris Jenner “tossed her aside.”
Kris, who is the Kardashian matriarch, is estimated to be worth $2 billion and rubs shoulders with Hollywood bigwigs and influential people. She was one of the few people to receive Meghan’s limited edition homemade jam from upcoming brand.
“She enjoyed the jam and likes the fact that she’s got Meghan on speed-dial, so to speak, but she isn’t rushing to invite them out to Palm Springs,” the source told the outlet.
“Meghan and Harry had their sights set a lot higher with power players like the Obamas, the Clooneys and other A-listers,” the insider continued. “But Meghan had eventually come around to the idea and was excited to be working with the Kardashians as they have such a good track record of building brands.”
The source insisted that Meghan is “essentially hanging on to the idea that once things get rolling with the brand, the interest will be there from Kris again.”
However, the Duchess “playing it very cool right now” but friends know how let down she feels by Kris’ silence.
