Prince Harry overwhelmed with emotions to receive standing ovation
Prince Harry was overwhelmed with emotions as he marked the culmination of his emotional and romantic Canada trip with a meaningful speech on Friday.
The Duke of Sussex closed out his and Meghan’s three days in British Columbia with a touching address at a gala that saw him receive a standing ovation from 200 guests, including his wife Meghan Markle
King Charles III’s younger son, in his crucial speech, spoke of unity, truth and reconciliation with tears in his eyes, thanking the First Nations for opening their land for Invictus Games.
Harry said: “Our collective journey through truth and reconciliation is an important one for all of us, and as we come here to learn, my hope is we can depart and return as friends.”
The Duke’s words were seemingly representing his ailing father King Charles who usually stresses on unity and Harmony in his speeches and messages.
He continued: “When I am with the Invictus community surrounded by so many brave men and women who have served their countries with distinction, I feel humbled and at home.
“As we look forward to next year’s games, we are reminded of the progress we have made, the challenges we have overcome, and the victories we have celebrated. Our journey has been marked by courage, determination, and an unwavering commitment to shared values of service, sacrifice, and community”
Meghan’s beaming smile was telling her heart’s story as the couple enjoyed the “One Year to Go” Invictus Games dinner.
The Duchess of Sussex turned cameras as she dazzled in an elegant olive green, off-the-shoulder dress by Canadian designer Greta Constantine. She paired her outfit with heels and jewels. To elevate her look, she wore a light make-up and styled her hair in natural waves.
