Meghan Markle fails to redeem herself two years after Spotify podcast fumble

The Duchess of Sussex was brutally axed by Spotify after her 2020 multi-million deal imploded after ‘Archetypes’

Meghan Markle’s podcast comeback is off to a rocky start.

According to launch-week data, the Duchess of Sussex’s new series, Confessions of a Female Founder, landed in Apple’s top five — but failed to even crack Spotify’s top 100.

The uneven performance has raised eyebrows, especially given Markle’s history with the streaming platform, which axed her in 2023 after a high-profile deal fell apart

The Sussexes signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Spotify in 2020, but only released one series, Archetypes, before the deal imploded.

Spotify exec Bill Simmons didn’t hold back after the split, branding Harry and Meghan “f****** grifters” on his own podcast.

Now, two years later, that tension may still be haunting Meghan’s new venture

The series kicked off with Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd as its first guest.

The two discussed entrepreneurship, motherhood, and even their shared experience of postpartum preeclampsia. Meghan also got candid about launching her new brand, As Ever, and raising Archie and Lilibet.
