Meghan Markle and Husband mark wedding anniversary with whirlwind success

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will celebrate six years of marriage on Sunday

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a handful to celebrate as they wait to mark six years of wedding anniversary later this week.

Speaking to the Daily Express, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams reflected on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s recent trip to Nigeria and its undeniable success.

During the whistlestop tour, the couple visited a city’s school, as well as attended an evening gala, all of which they enjoyed under the tight security provided by the state government.

Richard told the outlet: “Harry and Meghan will undoubtedly see their wedding anniversary as an opportunity to celebrate, especially after their successful private visit to Nigeria.

“This followed Harry’s controversial trip to London to commemorate 10 years of Invictus during which he and his father did not meet,” he noted.

It comes after former royal butler Grant Harrold hinted at a royal olive branch via public acknowledgment of Harry and Meghan’s big day.

He told Fruity Slots earlier this week: “Typically, the Royal Family do acknowledge wedding anniversaries, we usually see social media posts so it’ll be interesting to see if that happens this year.”

“If they don’t, once again it goes to show the ongoing division. If it does happen, then I see that as an olive branch,” he suggested.

For the unversed, Harry and Meghan tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel on May 19, 2018, after over a year of dating.
