A huge birthday shoutout to Kelly Ripa. The longtime talk show queen is celebrating her 54th trip around the sun today, October 2, and her husband, Mark Consuelos, made sure everyone knew.
Taking to Instagram, the Riverdale star, 53, gushed, “Happy Birthday Sexy! I’m so glad you were born. What a beautiful sprint around the sun. The best is yet to come. P.S. I promise not to snore so much this year.”

Consuelos didn’t stop there—he paired his sweet tribute with Madonna’s song “Addicted” and a video packed with adorable snapshots of Ripa. We’re talking epic throwbacks, including one of Ripa with Madonna herself. (Talk about icons only.)
The clip also featured some serious nostalgia, with photos of the couple’s kids when they were little—the pair are parents to Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21—as well as shots of Ripa as a little girl. In one precious pic, young Kelly rocks a white and red polka dot outfit with curly pigtails, smiling sweetly at the camera. In another, she’s rocking a black-and-white polka dot bow, pigtails still in action, but this time in braids. Clearly, she’s always had a signature look.
Ripa couldn’t resist chiming in, commenting on the post, “Thank you baby, excellent song choice.” Fans and friends also flooded the comments with birthday love, including Bravo Housewives legend Andy Cohen, who wrote, “The song!!! Happy birthday!”
Meanwhile, over on her own Instagram, Ripa’s been reposting Stories from friends and fam wishing her a fabulous day, including two from her daughter Lola, who shared a pic of Ripa lounging on the back of a boat with the caption, “Happiest of birthdays to the sweetest mommy in the world.” In a second slide, she shared a throwback of them both dressed in ‘70s gear, adding, “Thank you for matching my freak.”
