Mark Consuelos Cooked For Kelly Ripa And Played Pavarotti On His CD Player During One Of Their First Dates:

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos took Live with Kelly and Mark viewers on a heartwarming and fun trip down memory lane on Friday.

As they chatted about a grocery store in Mercadona, Spain where singles have been heading to to try their hand at finding love, Consuelos praised the “nice” idea.

“You can go to the store, you can get a little food, maybe meet someone,” he explained. “Go home, make a dinner together.”

Ripa joked the audience, “The love of your life is at a grocery store in Spain.”

Consuelos was then reminded of cooking for Ripa at the start of their relationship.

“Remember when I used to make sauce when we first started dating?” he asked.

However, Ripa claimed that this delicious date night was not as frequent as Consuelos was making it seem.

“I remember the time that you made sauce when we were dating,” she quipped.

Nonetheless, the two agreed that they enjoyed “a nice Italian dinner” together.

“We had a bottle of Chianti, just like Hannibal Lecter,” Ripa teased. “And you played Pavarotti on your CD player.”

Consuelos replied, “I did? Who am I, Stanley Tucci?”

Ripa added, “I remember thinking, ‘This guy wants me to think he is so sophisticated.’”

Despite the teasing, Ripa recalled the evening as “so sweet and romantic and lovely,” prompting the two to agree they “should do that again.”
