Mark Consuelos Confesses He Did Some Of His “Best Acting” After Kelly Ripa Microbladed Her Brows

Kelly Ripa is warning Live with Kelly and Mark viewers to proceed with caution when it comes to embracing the trend of “thin eyebrows” — and so is Mark Consuelos.

On Thursday’s episode, Ripa brought up how “they’re bringing back thin eyebrows,” prompting her to issue a PSA.

“Now listen. Stop it. Listen to your elders,” she decried.

As Consuelos also urged viewers to “be very careful,” Ripa shared her own experience with the style.

“I lived through the early ’90s and I thinned out, and guess what happened? They don’t come back,” she shared. “It’s not like an armpit hair or a leg hair… Women my age, it’s not like your chin hair or a mustache hair. It’s not like the weird hair around your nipple.”

Ripa continued doubling down, arguing, “once you take it away… you say goodbye forever,” and reiterated that she wants people to learn from her own mistakes.

“But look Kelly, you have eyebrows! I’m seeing them. These aren’t real!” she exclaimed. “I just, I love you more than you love yourselves right now. And I don’t want you to enter into your 50s knowing that you’re going to go into a home some day, and they’re only going to be worried about your blood pressure and your sugars and all that stuff. Nobody’s going to say, nobody’s touched up her microblading in 25 years… She’s got a full beard and no eyebrows. And nobody cares, okay?”

Consuelos stepped in, “I will say, the few times you did the microblading, I had to do some of the best acting I’ve ever done in my life. When you came home, you were like, ‘How does this look?’”

As Consuelos jokingly raised his eyebrows to mimic Ripa’s appearance at the time, Ripa clarified that “it’s only dark for the first two to three days.”

He added, “I’m glad you don’t do that anymore… I’ve not seen a good one done.”

Ripa asked, “How do my eyebrows look now?”

After Consuelos said that “they look great,” Ripa teased, “Don’t tell the doctor, but I microblade my eyebrows. He has no idea.”

“Well you changed people then, because it looks great,” he said.
