This Halloween marks a sentimental ending for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos will be marking a bittersweet milestone this Halloween.
The longtime spouses and co-hosts of Live with Kelly and Mark will be celebrating their last-ever Halloween in their current studio, as the daytime talk show will soon be switching locations.
To promote the upcoming Halloween broadcast, the show’s Instagram account shared a spooktacular video montage from all of Ripa and Conseulos’ Halloweens past, including some of their best—and some of their most frightful—costumes over the years.
In the clip, which was styled as a spoof of the hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building, Ripa, 54, and Consuelos, 53, were seen dressing up as members of the Addams family, Ricky and Lucy Ricardo, Sonny and Cher, and many more looks from their “history of horrors.”
But this year’s Halloween show will be the last one filmed in their studio on the Upper West Side, where Live has been taped for nearly 40 years.
It was announced earlier this month that Live will soon be moving to a new studio, described by Ripa as a “fancy schmancy state-of-the-art studio in SoHo.”
It’s not exactly clear when the move is happening, but Consuelos noted during the announcement that their current building has already been sold—so even though Ripa wasn’t totally convinced the move was going to happen, her husband said, “No, no, it’s happening.”
“Live has been daytime’s home for Halloween, and as we make our final Halloween show in our home of nearly 4 decades and prepare to head to a brand new studio, we bid a fond farewell to a history of horrors,” the narration in the preview said in the video, adding that the talk show hosts plan to “celebrate a tradition of terror for one last time in our beloved studio.”
“Just this one day it’s only Halloween in the building,” they further teased.
Live’s Only Halloween in the Building airs Thursday, Oct. 31.
