Kelly’s followers were shocked to see a rare guest at Disney’s D23 event in Los Angeles.
It’s not often you see Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos joined by their kids for a public event, but things change when mom gets a well-deserved honor.
On August 11, the Live With Kelly and Mark stars were on hand in Los Angeles as Kelly was named a Disney Legend at Disney’s D23 event. The actress and TV personality was one of 14 honorees that night (including Angela Bassett and Miley Cyrus), and Kelly and Mark made the moment a night out as a family. As they walked on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, the couple was joined by their daughter Lola to make a rare family appearance (their sons Michael and Joaquin were not seen at the event). What’s more, Live With Kelly and Mark’s social team celebrated the occasion with a sweet post on Instagram.
“Congrats to the newest @Disney Legend, Kelly!! @disneyd23,” read the caption alongside a series of photos (see the family photo opp on the last slide!).
Given how Lola isn’t a big fan of being in the spotlight alongside her parents, seeing Kelly, Mark and Lola together in a public setting had people thrilled in the comments.

“Awwww Lola joined her mom for this. Sweet 💜💜💜,” one person wrote. “Congratulations and Lola wow!” another exclaimed. “Great picture with Mark and Lola! Congratulations on your amazing career with Disney!” a different follower added.
We definitely love seeing these three together, though Lola’s appearance wasn’t even the biggest moment of Kelly’s night. As the All My Children alum accepted the honor from Disney, she made sure to shout out her family in her speech.
“I know what you’re thinking. Why her? What has she ever done? She doesn’t even go here,” she joked with the audience in a clip posted on Good Morning America’s Instagram on August 12. “But to you, I say, you sound just like my family.”
