Kelly Ripa Says Mark Consuelos And David Schwimmer Had “Palpable” Chemistry In ‘Friends’ Season 7

It turns out that David Schwimmer and Mark Consuelos have shared the screen together.

Though Schwimmer joined Consuelos and Kelly Ripa on Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark to talk his role in Goosebumps: The Vanishing, they of course couldn’t resist bringing up Friends, first asking him if he has ever been to the Friends Experience in New York City, where the new game show Fast Friends was filmed.

Schwimmer replied, “I’ve accidentally found myself walking by it, cause I walk everywhere. But I’ve never been inside.”

As for the two co-hosts, they shared that they had also never visited, to which Schwimmer joked, “Thanks for the support.”

Ripa teased, “If I was there and you walked by, I’d be like, oh, they must do this five times a week. Like, this is like a thing.”

This prompted Schwimmer to ponder the idea of visiting and surprising guests.

“Maybe I’ll do that once. Just be like, ‘Hey, what are you guys in line for?’” he mused.

Consuelos then asked Schwimmer about his skills in “Friends trivia,” which the TV star admitted he’s “really bad” at. Nonetheless, Consuelos wouldn’t let up, and insisted that they “check” on his knowledge of the sitcom

“I want you to watch a little clip, and I want you to name the actor in this scene,” Consuelos said, as a clip of his Season 7 cameo alongside Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston played on screen. In the episode, titled “The One with Chandler’s Dad,” Consuelos plays a cop, who flirts with Rachel (Aniston) instead of reprimanding her after he pulls her over — much to Ross’ (Schwimmer) dismay.

Once the clip finished playing, Consuelos smiled at Schwimmer, as Schwimmer and the audience applauded him.

“Oh my God,” Schwimmer teased, seemingly a la Janice.

Ripa chimed in and quipped, “The sexual chemistry between you two was palpable in that scene.”
