Kelly Ripa recently talked about her relationship with her husband Mark Consuelos. The pair have often been open about their marriage on Live with Kelly and Mark. Now, Kelly says the romance is dead between them. What happened? Continue reading to find out.
Kelly Ripa Talks About Bad Bedroom Habit
Everyone has something they’d like more of in their relationship, whether it’s communication or something else. For Kelly Ripa, it is more pillow talk.
During a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly started talking about problems they have in the bedroom.
“You want to hear about the bedtime habit that’s ruining our relationship—and it’s not sex?” Kelly asked. “It’s called parallel scrolling, it’s when we are side by side in the bed, scrolling parallel.”
She went on to say that scrolling on their phones or tablets in bed is “decreasing the chances of intimacy and affection.” However, it is still one of her guilty pleasures. Kelly Ripa also admitted that she has another bad habit when she’s in bed.
“What it proves to me is what you often accuse me of,” she told Mark Consuelos. “Which is when you click on something and the volume is at full blast and you don’t turn it down, that’s what you accuse me of. Every time you do that, I grow a little taller.”
Her husband laughed and replied, “You’re still five foot four, sweetie.”
Other Revelations About Kelly & Mark’s Relationship
The Live hosts have been candid about their activities in the bedroom before. Kelly Ripa recently dragged Mark on television for keeping her up “all night.”
During a March episode of Live, she told her husband, “You were very vocal last night. A lot of sounds. A lot of snoring. I put in my noise-canceling headphones. Normally they work beautifully, but they did not work last night.”
Eventually, she said she started trying to wake him up and get him to stop snoring. Kelly admitted that she used some “light kicking” and “light slamming on the bed.” Nothing worked to get Mark Consuelos to stop snoring.
Previously, Kelly called Mark out for being “mean” to her after they had sex. Mark wasn’t having any of it though, pointing out that you can’t be mean to someone when you’re “unconscious.”
“Maybe that’s what I meant. I didn’t really mean mean,” Kelly Ripa responded. “I meant completely disinterested—like sound asleep.”
That said, Kelly has made it clear that she still enjoys her sex life with Mark. After being married for nearly 30 years, she says the secret to a happy marriage is “love and sexy time.”
Their chemistry goes beyond the bedroom too. The pair work together on Live daily. Mark Consuelos became a permanent co-host on the talk show in April of 2023
