Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos spotlighted their assistants on Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, who, according to the two co-hosts, look like they belong in “a photo shoot.”
After discussing the supposed struggles that “pretty people” have been lamenting online, Consuelos pointed out that he and Ripa’s assistants are both “very pretty.”
Ripa enthusiastically chimed in, “I don’t want to reduce them to their looks, because our chiefs of staff are extraordinarily good at their jobs. But they happen to be insanely good-looking people.”
Once the cameras panned to their two assistants, Ripa added, “They look like a photo shoot!”
Consuelos identified his assistant as Grant, and recalled interviewing him at their home for the job.
“I didn’t hear a word he said,” he teased.
Ripa claimed the same went for her assistant Lauren, whom she initially remembered as “that pretty girl from New Jersey.”
“I’m the only job Lauren has ever had out of college,” she explained. “She doesn’t even know how many better jobs there are out there. But I told her, I was like, ‘Look, once in a while, I’ll throw you on camera, and who knows? Maybe you’ll be discovered.”
While Consuelos noted that Lauren is married, he revealed that “Grant, on the other hand, is single.”
Ripa added, “Ready to mingle.”
After Consuelos teased, “So if anybody wants to write in,” Ripa joked that they will “read [their] offerings later on in the show.”
