Kelly Ripa And Mark Consuelos Say They Could Never Be Part Of A Throuple:

Three’s seemingly not company for Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

On Live with Kelly and Mark this morning, the co-host couple raved about the new season of Couples Therapy, which hit Paramount+ with Showtime last Friday (May 31).

“If you guys aren’t watching this show, it is the best show on television,” Ripa said.

They explained the premise of the reality series to viewers, noting that psychoanalyst Dr. Orna Guralnik sees couples in therapy, and that this season features a throuple.

“And let me tell you — because I think every guy in his mind has this fantasy, right? Of having his steady, and then the person on the side, and it’s all harmonious,” Ripa continued. “These people are time management experts. I can’t even understand their scheduling. Mark and I looked at each other last night, right? And I go, ‘Oh, that’s a lot of work.’”

Consuelos chimed in, “I wouldn’t have the energy to keep everybody, you know… happy.”

Following some laughter, he added, “In every way.”

Poking fun at Consuelos’ several injuries, Ripa joked that Consuelos’ body “would break down” in a throuple.

“I can’t imagine the ways your body would break down,” she quipped. “It would just break down. Things would start falling apart quickly.”

Consuelos then returned to the subject of the show, sharing, “What was interesting was watching this guy feel needy.”

“He was still needy. Having two women, he still needs more,” he added.

He pointed out how Guralnik “zeroes in on it.” After Ripa praised Guralnik as “the most interesting person to watch,” Consuelos continued his analysis of the show.

“She goes, ‘Tell me more. Tell me more,’” he said.

Ripa replied, “She leans in and she’s like, ‘Say more.’ And then she’ll turn to one of the women and say, ‘And where are you in all of this?’”

Consuelos gushed, “I love it. You don’t even have to go to couples therapy. Just watch this. It’s your couples therapy.”

Ripa echoed Consuelos’ remark, highlighting that “it’s therapeutic for you if you’re in a relationship” and that “it’s like free therapy.”

“Cause then I will look at Mark and I’ll say, ‘Say more,’” she teased. “Right?”

She even issued a “homework assignment” to the studio audience to check out the show so that they can “discuss it in house.”
