“I’m used to buckles and snaps in my crotch?” Ripa said during a “Live” chat about zip lines. “I’ve seen buckles and snaps in that area before,” Consuelos replied.
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are strapped in for a wild morning discussion about harnesses.
The Live cohosts and real-life spouses got into a lively debate about comfort in one’s nether regions on Tuesday’s episode of the long-running talk show, as Consuelos sniffed out a Stump Mark contestant’s story about riding a zip line in Tennessee using an uncomfortable set of safety belts.
“This is not part of the question, but the harness is a little uncomfortable for guys, wouldn’t you say?” Consuelos, 53, asked the man at the end of the segment, prompting Ripa to respond sarcastically: “The harness is great for women. We love having buckles and snaps in our crotch.”
Consuelos giggled as he turned to his wife and said, “You’re used to buckles and snaps. We’re not used to that.”
Clearly confused, Ripa, also 53, turned to her husband and asked, “I’m used to buckles and snaps in my crotch?”
Consuelos continued to laugh in his chair, quipping, “Yeah, I’ve seen buckles and snaps in that area before!”
This marks the second time in two months that Live has focused on crotch-related developments, with Consuelos admitting on a May episode that his is so powerful that it once set off an airport security machine.
“Every time I go through the metal detector, they go off,” Consuelos said of a particular pair of pants he likes to wear while traveling, which Ripa dubbed his “travel panties.”
