Justina Machado joined the cast of Netflix’s first medical procedural series Pulse

Justina Machado has been on board with Pulse creators as the first series regular cast in the show.

Netflix Tudum reported on Thursday that the video streaming platform has stepped into the medical procedural genre with its first original series helmed by first-time and veteran creators Zoe Robyn and Carlton Cuse, respectively.

The duo will also contribute to the first-ever procedural medical drama series as the showrunners and executive creators.

As for The Horror of Dolores Roach starrer, she is set to play the role of Natalie Cruz, a brilliant and politically savvy doctor who serves her expertise in both administration and medicine.

Machado, 51, will light up the screen with the role of the chair of surgery and emergency medicine in Netflix’s original series.

Additionally, the storyline of Pulse follows the lives of the dedicated staff at Miami’s busiest level-one trauma center as they navigate through both medical emergencies and intricate personal dramas.

The series will mainly revolve around a young ER doctor Dani Simms.
