Jennifer Lopez is licking her wounds.
The “Hustlers” star posted a picture of herself after getting hurt while rehearsing for the upcoming American Music Awards, which she is set to host and perform at.
“So this happened…” she captioned a photo of herself holding an ice pack on the bridge of her nose May 13 on her Instagram stories.
Another picture of her face shows a cut in that spot.
“(During @amas rehearsals),” she wrote, indicating when she got hurt.
In a third picture, Lopez shows off an as-good-as-new look, alongside the doctor who treated her.
“Thank you for stitching me up Dr. Diamond. A week later and a whole lotta ice, I’m good as new,” she wrote.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer is slated to host the AMAs on May 26 at 8 p.m. ET. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+. Lopez previously hosted the show in 2015.
We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO, Dick Clark Productions, in a statement announcing the superstar would host the show.
“Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick off celebration of summer.”
During a 2024 special honoring the AMAs 50th anniversary, Lopez said hosting in 2015 “was a huge honor.”
“Maybe I’ll do it again one day. Who knows?” she teased.
