Harry to ‘ditch’ Meghan Markle in US to ‘step up’ for royal role

Prince Harry ‘still important’ to the royal family despite royal rift

Prince Harry may not be the next in line to the throne but he still has significance in the royal family which accounts for a lot.

King Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold shared that when the time comes and the Duke of Sussex is needed by the royals, he will step up to his role even if he has to leave his wife Meghan Markle in US to do so

Prince Harry had made plenty of headlines after his spontaneous visit to his cancer-stricken father leading to speculations over his return to the royal fold, especially while he recovers from his treatment.

“It’s difficult to tell, and it’ll be interesting to see what goes on moving forward,” Harrold said of Harry’s return to The New York Post.

“Harry is a counsellor of state, so he is still a very senior member of the royal family, and if the time comes, he would step up if he needs to.”

Harrold, who worked for Charles for seven years when he was the Prince of Wales, explained that Harry “might not be next in line to the throne,” but he’s “not that far down the line of succession, so his importance to the royal family shouldn’t be overlooked.”

He added, “I think it’s within all of their benefits to actually resolve these ongoing issues.”

Moreover, he explained that Meghan is “apprehensive” to return to the UK. Previously, royal author and the Sussexes’ alleged “mouth piece” Omid Scobie also said that Meghan will “never set foot back in the UK.”

It remains to be seen if Prince Harry will get the call from the royal to return.
