According to an Instagram post by her BFF Gayle King, the former host of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” will sit next to Bradley Cooper at the 81st Golden Globe Awards which takes place on Sunday, January 7 at the Beverly Hilton.
In the said post, Gayle shared with fans a behind-the-scenes look at the awards ceremony rehearsals for the star-studded event. Oprah could be seen posing next to a chair that was designated for the “A Star Is Born” actor that was just one table away from her own.

“Something tells me @Oprah is VERY HAPPY with her seat at @goldenglobes!” Gayle joked in the caption. “Behind the scenes at rehearsals… All I can say is her dress tonight is going to hurt people’s feelings… It’s SPECTACULAR, you heard it here first!”

Also included in the guest list are Steven Spielberg, Michelle Yeoh, Don Cheadle, Kevin Costner, John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt. Emily is nominated for her role in Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer” alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Cillian Murphy.

Oprah, who has been friends with the “CBS Mornings” anchor for almost 50 years, echoed the sentiment, saying, “Sometimes we’re both thinking, ‘I want to stab myself in the eye with a fork right now. Oh, my god. Why am I here?’ A couple of times Gayle has said, ‘Should I hand you my fork?’ ”
