MEGHAN Markle once revealed the gifts that she would buy or want to receive on Mother’s Day – and the boujee list looks fit for royalty.
The Duchess of Sussex, 42, uploaded a swanky gift guide to her now-defunct blog The Tig when she was working as an actress in Suits.
Meghan wrote: “To all of the wonderful mamas in this world, thank you. For all the lessons, for all the love. For you.”
She also shared six items she would like to receive for Mother’s Day, including Lacoste perfume.
Although the Lacoste Sensuelle Eau de Parfum scent has now been discontinued, it is selling on eBay for around £100 for a 50ml bottle.
Next up on the list is the Clean Eats book by Alejandro Junger, which retails for £12.86 and over 200 healthy recipes.
Meghan also selected a jewellery piece for her third recommendation.
She shared a gold necklace which spelled out “laugh”, with a diamond stone in the chain.
The SHY BY SELaugh Pendant Bezel Diamond Necklace was available from luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman, but is currently unavailable.
Other similar pendant necklaces sell for $590 (£460) in the designer shop
The next three products on the Mother’s Day gift guide were very fitting for her healthy Californian lifestyle.
Meghan included a ‘Magic Carpet’ yoga mat that retails for $99 (£77).
She also included a £69 NutriBullet machine and a boho-style robe.
While many mums receive flowers or chocolates for Mother’s Day, Meghan’s list certainly raises the game (and the price tag).
Previously Kate Middleton shared how Prince George made her an adorable homemade card for Mother’s Day.
The then-six-year-old had made a bunch of flowers in a vase using paper and pens.
Meanwhile, in 2021, Prince George and his siblings Charlotte and Louis baked the Princess of Wales an amazing cake for Mother’s Day.
The delicious cake, adorned with hearts and smarties covered blobs of cream, was made to mark Kate’s special day.
On her blog post, Meghan previously gushed about her mum, Doria Ragland, who lives in the same state as her, Prince Harry, and their two kids, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
Meghan’s mum yoga-loving Doria was raised by her mother Jeanette, a shorthand typist.
In her early 20s, Doria trained as a make-up artist and landed a job on the set of a TV soap, where she met and fell in love with Meghan’s dad Thomas, who she married.
They divorced when Meghan was six and Doria later worked as an air stewardess.
Doria’s pet name for Meghan was “flower” and the pair shared a powerful bond.
Describing her mum on her former blog The Tig, Meghan wrote: “Dreadlocks. Nose ring. Yoga instructor. Social worker. Free Spirit. Lover of potato chips and lemon tarts.
“And if the DJ cues Al Green’s soul classic Call Me, just forget it. She will swivel her hips into the sweetest little dance, swaying her head and snapping her fingers to the beat like she’s been dancing since the womb.
“And you will smile. You won’t be able to help it. You will look at her and you will feel joy.
She also wrote about how Doria imposed strict curfews when she was a teenager, taught her to cook Cajun shrimp gumbo and took her jogging and bike-riding.
Meghan concluded: “She was keeping me safe. She was teaching me to take care of my body.
“She was introducing me to history, and fostering a love of being outdoors. She was planting the seed for me to become a foodie.
“She was showing me how to be a daughter, not just in that moment, but for when I became that grown woman. For right now. And thirty years from now.
She was loving me. So tightly.”
Doria was Meghan’s only family relative at her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
