Emma Watson refused to act out a scene in the 2013 film, leading to rumors that she had stormed off the set
Emma Watson’s refusal to perform a scene in 2013’s This Is the End, just came to light.
The 34-year-old actress, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, portrayed herself in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s horror movie.
In the particular scene, Watson was asked to wear a gimp mask and be walked on a leash by Danny McBride, who had turned into a cannibal in the movie at the point of time.
Watson ended up refusing to do the scene and the final cut of the movie ended up airing without her in it.
This, in result, caused a rumor to spread that the Beauty and The Beast actress had stormed off from the set and there was bad blood and harsh feelings.
In a conversation with GQ, Seth Rogen said, “I mean, I don’t look back on that and think: ‘How dare she do that?’ You know? I think sometimes when you read something, when it comes to life, it doesn’t seem to be what you thought it was.”
He continued, “But it was not some terrible ending to our relationship. She came back the next day to say goodbye. She helped promote the film.”
“No hard feelings and I couldn’t be happier with how the film turned out in the end. She was probably right. It was probably funnier the way we ended up doing it,” Seth Rogen said of This Is the End.
