Dr. Dre Teases More Collabs on New Album with Snoop Dogg

Dr. Dre shares what’s next for him, Snoop Dogg, and their first full album collaboration in 30 years.

In a recent chat with ET, the legendary producer talked more about working on Snoop’s upcoming album, “Missionary”, set to drop in November. Dre warned that this is not a nostalgia trip:

This is going to show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music. I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career, so I’m really having fun with the music. I said it, and I’m proud of it. I’m not playing. Snoop is excited about this, and so am I. I think people are going to enjoy this.

Right now, Dre is locked in the studio, mixing tracks:

As soon as we finish this interview, I have to go downstairs and start mixing. I wanted 14 songs, Snoop wants 16, so we have that thing happening. So, I’m on song number eleven as far as mixes go. I have to be done and delivered by September 1st to have the November release.

The Doctor has even hinted at a potential feature on the album himself, along with a surprise collab with Sting:

I actually did a couple of songs for the album. I’m not sure if one of them is going to make it or not. I produced the entire album, but vocally, I think only one of them is going to make it. We have Sting on the song. We have an amazing roster of artists that’s on this album. I shouldn’t talk about this, to be honest.

Snoop has already promised that Eminem’s feature is locked for the album, so we can be certain about that. Whatever else those two have in store, bring it on.
