The ‘Have Mercy’ singer responds to fans’ speculation that she might be pregnant with her first child, blaming her dress for making an illusion of a supposed baby bump.
Chloe Bailey is a happy aunt, but she is not following in the footsteps of her sister Halle Bailey to become a mother anytime soon. The one-half of Chloe x Halle has shut down pregnancy rumors after fans kept asking her during a livestream.
On Tuesday, December 3, the 26-year-old singer/actress went live following a performance. Wearing a black dress with a plunging neckline and cut-outs on the torso, she topped it with a fluffy crop outerwear.
When reading the comments asking her if she was pregnant, Chloe quickly clarified, “Am I pregnant? No. It’s just the dress. See…that’s the way it looks. I’m not pregnant. That’s that thick.” She snapped back, “No, I’m not pregnant. This is a dress. Get a grip! It’s called fashion.”
The “Grown-ish” star later clarified that she wasn’t upset at the pregnancy questions or speculation. “I don’t blame y’all,” she told the viewers. “I don’t really care.”

Chloe never minced her words when it comes to addressing wild rumors. Back in August 2023, she defended her sister Halle against speculation that “The Little Mermaid (2023)” star might be pregnant with DDG’s baby.
“And y’all better keep my sister’s name out your mouth. Thank you. Amen. Amen. Hallelujah. ‘Bout to get me riled the hell up. Anyways…,” she said during an Instagram Live session. At the time, Halle kept her pregnancy under wraps before she gave birth to her son Halo in December 2023.
Halle later recalled Chloe’s reaction when she first told her she was pregnant. “I think she didn’t believe me. She thought I was joking when I told her,” the “Angel” songstress said.
Chloe was overjoyed though, sharing, “I was so excited because, you know, he’s like my baby too. I just really, really love him. He makes me so happy, I can’t even explain it. I think he’s the greatest blessing. I’m so happy. He’s like a little addition to our family, and he’s definitely made our lives a lot more fun.”
