Cher goes back on her tall claims as she attends Hall of Fame

Cher also explained the reason for her changed decision

Cher recently confirms that she will be attending the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this October amid tall claims in past affirming that she “will never go.”

The singer, 77, earlier in December told on the episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show that she wouldn’t be “in it now if they gave [her] a million dollars,” asserting she was “never going to change [her] mind.”

At that time, the pop icon noted: “They can just go you-know-what themselves.”

Now recently, the After All singer has confirmed Entertainment Tonight that she will be attending the October 19 ceremony.

The I Got You Babe crooner explained she changed her mind because of music producer David Geffen and Chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, John Sykes. “Well, I can thank David Geffen, my friend and the most wonderful person ever, and John Sykes.”

“I’m gonna have some words to say,” she added. “I’m gonna accept it in my Cher — as me.”

The organisation revealed this year’s nominees on April 22. Alongside Cher, nine other nominees appear on the ballot for the first time.

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on October 19 from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
