Cardi B defends husband Offset against online bashing: ‘He helps me a lot’

Cardi B denied earlier reports that Offset wasn’t a supportive husband or father

Cardi B won’t stand for false reports bashing the father of her three children as she navigates his divorce with him.

After an August 2 report by People Magazine suggested that the Bodack Yellow hitmaker filed for divorce from Offset because their marriage was “more of a distraction than support,” Cardi took to Instagram to refute the claims.

When the Instagram account The Jasmine Brand shared the news, the mom of two — who is expecting a third child — wasted no time setting the record straight.

“OK this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids,” Cardi replied to the post on August 3. “Never in my career no matter what I went through I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to People magazine,” she added.

The Grammy-winner continued to defend Offset, emphasising involvement and support: “Even wit my filling I’m not askin for child support my claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one [sic].

The couple’s relationship has been tumultuous since their wedding in September 2017, frequently plagued by allegations of Offset’s infidelity.

Cardi initially announced a split in 2018 but reconciled with Offset shortly after. She then filed for divorce in September 2020, only to call it off again. Now, with the latest filing on July 31, Cardi seems resolute in her decision.
