Tina Knowles shared heartfelt reflections on her pride as a mother
Tina Knowles, mother of Beyoncé and Solange Knowles expressed her profound pride and joy in motherhood, sharing touching insights about raising her daughters and the lasting impact they’ve had on her life.
While speaking to People Magazine at Glamour’s 2024 Women of the Year event on Tuesday, Tina Knowles offered encouraging words for mothers: “I feel like the teenage years are the most difficult, but it will get better, and you get what you put in,” she shared.
“That’s what I truly believe. The more you put into your kids, the more love, care, and support you give them, the more you get out of it.”
The Cowboy Carter singer was absent from the red carpet, but she made her appearance later on to support her mother, Tina.
Beyoncé arrived at the awards wearing a long fur coat and carrying a black and gold purse. The singer donned a chic gold outfit, alongside mesh gloves and gold platform heels.
Her white-blond hair was styled in a wavy bob, and to accessorise her look, she wore embellished hoop earrings, gold eyeshadow, and a nude glossy lip.
While giving her speech, Knowles spoke about her motherhood in the presence of Beyoncé in the audience
She said, “I’ve been so blessed in my life to do many things. I’ve had many careers, but I’ve always said that the best job that I’ve ever had is being a mother.”
She further expressed her joy of raising four daughters, “I’ve had the privilege of raising and helping to raise four daughters , two that were born to me and two that were a gift to me from God.
“You know, I was somewhat of a rebellious teen and a young adult, and I didn’t always follow the rules, but the day that I became a mother, I decided that this was one thing that I wouldn’t screw up.”
Beyoncé in the audience couldn’t hold her tears and proudly cheered for her mother.
In an interview with Glamour, Knowles, was swelling with pride while discussing on how she trained her daughters.
She said , “‘You look people in the eye, say hello, don’t turn into a diva.'”
Knowles also included that while she is proud of their work she also feels delighted when her children’s actions have “good repercussions on the world.”
