During His Media Tour To Promote His New Memoir ‘When I Was Your Age’, The ‘Saturday Night Live’ Star Shares Why He Hasn’t Spoken Out About His Divorce From Christina Evangeline.
While Kenan wasn’t keen on talking about the divorce, the comedian was excited to talk about his love for their daughters Georgia (9) and Gianna (5). Saying that being a girl dad is “the best,” Kenan shared, “They’re my daily focus outside of myself. They are definitely my sweethearts. I love them.”
Kenan also revealed that his upcoming book will “tell the whole story from A to Z.” He also confirmed that “99 percent” of his life would be included in the book, which is described as “an ode to growing up, getting older and wiser, and learning from the school of hard knocks.”
In a previous interview, Kenan said of writing the book, “It’s been such a joy to write and share my story in ‘When I Was Your Age’. From ‘All That to SNL’, I’ve had a lot of laughs – and learned a few lessons – along the way, and I hope fans will too.”
“When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown” will also cover topics including parenthood, race and body image. The book will hit the shelves on Tuesday, December 5.
Meanwhile, Kenan filed for divorce from Christina on June 22 after 10 years of marriage. In his legal papers, he requested 50/50 custody of his and the interior designer’s daughters Georgia Marie and Gianna Michelle. TMZ claimed at the time that the former couple simply grew apart and would remain great friends following their split.
