Victoria Monet’s 2-Year-Old Daughter Hazel Sets Record With Grammy Nomination

The ‘Oh My Mama’ Singer Admits That She Keeps ‘Crying’ After Landing Seven Nods At The 2024 Grammy Awards, While The Likes Of Halle Bailey, Ice Spice And Jelly Roll Celebrate Their First Grammy Nomination(S).

Victoria Monet’s infant daughter is making history with her Grammy nomination. At barely three years old, Hazel Monet has earned a nomination at the prestigious music awards event for her feature appearance on her mom’s song “Hollywood”

The two-year-old girl is nominated for best traditional R&B performance as a featured artist through the song which also features the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire. Hazel, thus, is now officially the youngest Grammy nominee in history.

Hazel was born on February 21, 2021, which means she’ll still be a little shy of her third birthday when the 66th annual Grammy Awards are presented at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4, 2024.

Leah Peasall previously held the record as the youngest Grammy nominee and winner as one of The Peassal Sisters. The group was credited on hit soundtrack “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”, which was awarded Album of the Year in 2022. Leah was 8 years old at the time, while her sisters Hannah Peasall and Sarah Peasall were 11 was 14 respectively.

Victoria earned a total of seven nominations, including Record of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best New Artist, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. She has since taken to Instagram to share her honest reaction to the achievement.

“Y’all WHHAAAAAT THE!!!!!!!! Hahahahahahahahhaah this is a laugh cry combo,” she wrote along with a video that captured her and her team screaming in joy while watching the announcement. “I don’t know what to dooo with myself lmao.”

Jelly got emotional upon learning of the good news. In a video, he got teary eyed and he struggled to find the words to express his feelings. “I’m embarrassed to post this but my wife says honesty and rawness got me this far …,” he confessed in the caption. “I’ll post a more complete thought about this when I get my head together.
