Logan Lerman praises the young cast of ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’
Logan Lerman gushed over his friendship with the new generation of the Percy Jackson series, especially with Walker Scobell, who is taking on the actor’s past role.
Lerman, who played the role of titular demigod in Rick Riordan’s adaptations more than a decade ago, shared his thoughts on the new cast for Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
While talking to IMDb, The Perks of Being a Wallflower actor said, “I’ve spent some time with them. And you know, I would say Walker’s now like a friend.”
Opening up about his close bond with Scobell, The Fury star added, “We talk and text from time to time.”
The 33-year-old artist also praised the cast members, Aryan Simhadri (Grover) and Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), saying, “They’re really a sweet group of kids, really talented and nice people.”
Weighing on his cameo in the series he said, “I mean, that hasn’t, no conversation’s happened. But I mean, yeah, why not.”
Previously, when the novel series was announced for adaptation, Lerman stated that he wouldn’t return to the series, though he was “excited” to see the story unfold.
“Everything I’ve seen so far, peripherally, just about casting and how they’re doing it, and that
Percy Jackson and the Olympians season two is slated for release in 2025, however, the exact release date hasn’t been announced yet.
