Since his separation from Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck finds solace in his work and quality time with family while co-parenting with former wife, reportedly steering clear of new romantic involvements.
Ben Affleck appears to be channeling his energies into professional projects and familial commitments as he navigates life post-separation. A source exclusively revealed to Page Six that Affleck, 52, has “no interest” in dating at the moment. The actor, who is “focused on numerous projects he’s working on,” remains strongly committed to adjusting to his newly single life after his split from wife Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck’s primary focus right now is divided between his work and personal life, beyond entering a new relationship. The insider emphasized, “Ben’s divorce from Jennifer hasn’t even been finalized, but even if it were, dating is just not where his head is at.” In this period of adjustment, Affleck is prioritizing his kids and career, making the most of his time to concentrate on these domains.
This decision comes in the wake of Lopez, 55, filing for divorce from the Oscar winner earlier this year, specifically on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony. Affleck and Lopez initially eloped in Las Vegas in 2022.
As the actor copes with the ongoing divorce proceedings, Page Six previously reported that production on Affleck and Matt Damon’s upcoming crime thriller, “RIP,” has also experienced delays. “With Ben’s divorce and everything going on in his personal life, production on the film has slowed and there’s no release date at the moment,” a source mentioned.
Affleck has been investing much of his free time reconnecting with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children. The former couple, who ended their decade-long marriage in 2015, were seen spending the recent holiday season together.
They were spotted driving around Brentwood, California, and participating in a philanthropic Thanksgiving event with the Midnight Mission, where they helped feed 2,000 homeless and near-homeless individuals in downtown Los Angeles.
After the charitable activity, Affleck and Garner enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with their children: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. According to a source, Affleck felt “blessed” to share these special moments with Garner and their kids, finding a sense of comfort and familiarity.
The insider noted, “Even though Ben and Jen have been split for a while now, he feels a certain level of comfort with her. Ben has a strong relationship with Jen that will never dissipate because they have a lot of history together and she’s the mother of his kids.”
